Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The Mustang Mach-E offers an optional Reverse Brake Assist that uses rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically applies the brakes to prevent a collision. The Eletre doesn’t offer automatic braking for stationary objects directly to the rear.

Both the Mustang Mach-E and the Eletre have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, post-collision automatic braking systems, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available around view monitors.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E (built after August 2024) has achieved the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) highest rating of “Top Safety Pick Plus” for the 2025 model year. This distinction is based on its exceptional performance in IIHS’ rigorous battery of safety tests. Specifically, it earned a “Good” rating in the latest, more stringent moderate overlap front crash test, a “Good” result in the updated side impact test, and a “Good” score in the revised pedestrian crash prevention test. The Eletre has not yet been evaluated by the IIHS for 2025.

The Mustang Mach-E comes with free roadside assistance for 5 years 60,000 miles. Ford will send help if you run out of gas, need a jump-start, lock your keys in or need any assistance on the road. Lotus doesn’t give free roadside assistance for the Eletre.

Ford’s powertrain warranty covers the Mustang Mach-E 2 years and 24,000 miles longer than Lotus covers the Eletre. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles. Coverage on the Eletre ends after only 3 years or 36,000 miles.

There are over 65 times as many Ford dealers as there are Lotus dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Mustang Mach-E’s warranty.

In case you lock your keys in your vehicle, or don’t have them with you, you can let yourself in using the Mustang Mach-E’s exterior PIN entry system. The Eletre doesn’t offer an exterior PIN entry system.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Mustang Mach-E has a standard rear wiper. The Eletre doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the Mustang Mach-E has standard extendable sun visors. The Eletre doesn’t offer extendable visors.

The Mustang Mach-E is equipped with both FM and AM stereo radios, offering access to more content and better coverage than the Eletre, which solely provides FM radio. With AM radio, you can enjoy a wider variety of stations featuring news, talk shows, sports commentary, native language programing, automated traffic guidance, and emergency broadcasts. AM waves travel further and penetrate buildings and obstacles more effectively than FM signals, especially at night. Having both FM and AM stereo radios the Mustang Mach-E offers a more comprehensive listening experience compared to only FM in the Eletre.

HD Radio boasts several benefits over conventional radio: superior sound quality with clearer and consistent FM broadcasts, CD-quality audio, and Multicast Channels offering up to four streams from a single station, adding programming choices. Cars like the Mustang Mach-E equipped with available HD Radio provide an improved in-car entertainment experience. The Eletre, devoid of this technology, foregoes these benefits. Selecting the Ford Mustang Mach-E empowers drivers to enjoy a more immersive and enjoyable listening experience while on the go.
